- apply key legislation related to labour relations and to anticipate challenging labour law situations
- apply legal norms related to key public service positions, especially the position and rights of public servants
- apply legislation related to the occupational safety and health of employees and officials, pensions and legislation related to privacy protection
- be familiar with the labour and collective bargaining system
