Kotler P. , Kartajaya H., Setiawan I., Marketing 4.0 – Moving from Traditional to Digital, parts 4-7 (https://laurea.finna.fi/Record/nelli01.3710000000952392)

Toteutustapa

This 10 ECTS credit study unit includes on-campus contact teaching/guidance, and group work at the Leppävaara campus, as well as online assignments that students complete individually online.

The course consists of three parts:

1) Orientation online:
To secure a place in the course, each student must complete individually orientation assignment. The assignment is available in the Canvas learning platform (which opens by 22.8.2025), and the deadline for submission is 5.9.2025.

2) Independent online assignments (5 ECTS credits):
Students complete online assignments at their own pace in Laurea’s Canvas learning platform, following the set deadlines. The tasks focus on digital sales and marketing, and include familiarization with Google and HubSpot certifications. Lecturers provide support via the Canvas discussion forum if needed.

3) Project work in student groups at Leppävaara campus (5 ECTS credits):
Students are organized into teams of 5–7 students at the beginning of the course to complete a marketing development project. Teams collaborate to solve a real business challenge, developing marketing solutions for a partner company provided by the instructor. Alternatively, teams may propose their own project if it aligns with the course objectives. For group work, on-site collaboration at Laurea’s Leppävaara campus is recommended. Active participation and commitment are required from every student throughout the project.

The course includes both independent work (orientation and online assignments) and group work (a marketing development project for a partner company).

Students receive feedback on the group assignment from the teacher, and feedback from industry partners or peers may also be used. For online assignments, feedback is provided as points based on the assignment rubric.

A Canvas learning environment opens by 22.8.2025 and is used to support the implementation, but it is recommended to take part in teaching and guidance on Leppävaara campus according to schedule. These will not be recorded. Attendance at the first meeting on 2.9.2025 at 9-11:30 is mandatory, as the course practicalities will be covered and teams for the project work will be formed.

The use of artificial intelligence is allowed in this course. However, students must clearly explain how AI was used and for what purpose.

Työelämäyhteistyö ja/tai TKI

Worklife skills and competences are developed through industry certifications and a customer development project included in the course.
