Learning outcomes

The student is able to
- define key concepts related to brain health
- analyse communal and individual brain health risk factors that occur in the adult population
- apply recommendations and researched information related to the prevention of brain diseases when planning and implementing the guidance of clients and their families and friends in lifestyles that support brain health
- take into account brain health-related factors associated with well-being at work
- draw on the basic principles of customer and resource-oriented encounters, guidance, and support in promoting brain health and in the care of people with brain diseases
- apply knowledge and working methods based on evidence and multidisciplinary expertise in promoting and supporting the brain health of working-age people and in the care of people with brain diseases
- apply knowledge of changes related to brain function and common brain diseases in working-age people when implementing health-promoting nursing
