- ISO/OSI network protocol model and networks security.

Alternative completion methods of implementation
If the student is familiar with the themes covered in the study unit, it is possible to contact the lecturers before the study unit begins or within the first week after the first meeting to discuss the possibility of recognizing and demonstrating the skills in the HOT-process.
Students workload
The student is expected to be able schedule his/her work according to the the schedule of the study unit implementation. Approving any late work is in the lecturer's discretion.

- Configuring switches and routers - basics.
- ISO/OSI network protocol model and networks security.
- IP networks security issues.
- IPv6 and IoT security issues.
- Wireless and mobile networking security issues.
- Clouds and content delivery networks and their security.

Grading is based on weighted grades of the assignments during the study unit. The assignment groups and their weights are published in the on-line environment at the beginning of the study unit implementation.

The student has not participated in the work during the study unit implementation or has not been able to finish the assignments on expected level.
Evaluation criteria, satisfactory (1-2)
The student has participated in most of the work during the study unit and has shown reasonable level of skills and expertise in the assignments.
Evaluation criteria, good (3-4)
The student has participated actively in most of the work during the study unit and has shown good skills and expertise in the assignments.
