The course focuses on the service sector, the fastest growing business sector that offer great potential for companies seeking growth in international markets. We expect you to have basic knowledge of service business incl. marketing.
After taking the course you will be able to:
- identify the role of services in international trade
- define internationalization strategies of services and determinants of success in exporting services
- analyse internationalisation modes of service companies in different sectors
Study unit will be implemented completely on-line. It consists of three chapters
Ch 1. Orientation
Ch 2. Landscape of service export
Ch 3. Service export modes and Case-assignment
Each chapter has a set of independent assignments. Assessment criteria will be informed for each assignment separately. Assignments will be graded by points (total 100 points).
There will be five online sessions (see timetable below) to support your learning. Participation to these sessions will be expected.
The course platform will be CANVAS and we will use Zoom Video Communications for online sessions.
Proceed through the chapters in a chronological order. Study the materials and complete the tasks of one chapter before moving to the next chapter. The course is designed so that you can mostly work independently.
Pay attention to the deadlines for each task. The deadlines are there to structure your work and are to be followed.
