Learning outcomes

The student is able to
- produce the key colour cosmetics products
- explain the challenges the structure of skin poses to the absorption of cosmetic products and the possibilities to enhance absorption
- classify the active raw materials of cosmetics products into different product groups and search for scientific information on the mechanisms of the effectiveness of raw materials
- measure the impact of different cosmetic products with biophysical indicators and report the outcomes appropriately or alternatively, the student participates in international raw material fairs and writes about them for consumers appropriately
- justify the significance of product development, ethical aspects of raw materials and responsibility in cosmetics
- present various hair products related to the chemical treatment of hair

Qualifications

Requires knowledge on the chemistry and raw materials of cosmetics which will be gained in the core competence studies of the bachelor degree in Beauty and Cosmetics.
