The student is able to
- plan, implement and evaluate public health nursing in Outpatient Health Care Services
- make justified independent decisions in assessing the need for treatment, taking professional ethics into account
- carry out various health examinations and screening among the working-age population and assess the need for treatment, following ethical principles
- guide and support clients in self-care, health habits and lifestyle changes
- guide and vaccinate customers of different ages
- use health care methods that strengthen resources in different operating environments
- perform clinical procedures related to the public health nurse’s work
- describe the contents, tasks and responsibilities of public health nursing work in occupational health care or different primary health care units
- promote the health of working-age people and their ability to work and function at different stages of their careers
- assess and develop data recording
- be a member of a multiprofessional team
