Learning outcomes
The student is able to
- improve and develop professional ethics and competencies in an international environment by sharing knowledge
- work in multidisciplinary cooperation and learn to utilize working methods and work practices within a sustainability framework used in both countries
- identify and co-develop client-based ideas for promoting holistic wellbeing of families in homebased care and guidance work

Teaching methods
The study unit will be implemented in English and participating in Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme BIP “Sustainable and holistic home care”.
There will be university and hospital staff and students from KCMC Kilimanjaro Christian Medical University, Moshi Tanzania attending the Erasmus+ programme and the mobility week at Laurea. This mobility week is intensive week for Laurea students. Intensive week will contain lectures, workshops and study visits.
This study unit contains online orientation and online lectures, teamwork and an individual task. Study unit requires attendance at the lectures and during the intensive/mobility week at campus and at study visits. The lectures will be held at Zoom, active participation is required.

Based on the degree regulations (2024), the student accepted for the implementation is required to confirm their participation by showing activity at the start of the study in the following way:
In order to demonstrate activity, the student must be present at the first contact lesson or notify the teacher in charge of their absence to confirm their participation in the study. Registration will be rejected if the student does not report their absence at the start of the study or the reason for the absence cannot be considered justified. Another student can be taken in their place.

Student workload
Workload of the study is measured in a way that to acquire the goal competence of the study, one credit corresponds to an average of 26.7 hours of work done by the student. The actual time needed varies e.g. according to prior competence.
