Learning outcomes
The students will be able to
describe the main concepts of anatomy and physiology
describe the structure and functioning of cells, tissues, organs and organ systems, and explain their significance in the functioning of the human body as a whole
describe the main concepts of microbiology and pathology, and the classification of diseases
explain the significance of microbes for human health and the causation of infectious diseases
explain how different factors affect the causation of diseases and cause changes in the body
describe the different types of tissue damage, their causation mechanisms and symptoms
justify the use of basic medical imaging and bioanalytical methods in nursing based on their knowledge of human anatomy and physiology
explain the general principles of radiation protection
