Learning outcomes
The student is able to
- describe the body of knowledge essential to cybersecurity
- take sole responsibility for running a cybersecurity project
- plan, implement, document and present a cybersecurity project

Note: Teacher is offering volunteer tutoring at Laurea Leppävaara by appointments.
Materials
- Learning material is based on CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst+ (CySA+) certification training material
- The study unit provides preparatory training for CySA+ but not the certification exam
- Hands-on training in the virtual training environment
Teaching methods
Fully Online Offering:
- This study unit is fully online learning with the possibilities of volunteer tutoring meetings with the teachers.
- The tutoring meetings are not compulsory. Any student can participate in tutoring meeting if they need any help from teachers.
- Virtual studies, weekly basis virtual learning, assignments, and hands-on training
- NOTE: Advanced level study unit that requires basic knowledge about networking and information security

- This is an advanced level study unit with hands-on training and we recommend a student to take courses Introduction to Information Security (R0318) or Information Security Management (R0319) before taking this study unit
- The student should have basic knowledge about networking technologies, IP-routing and cybersecurity
- The student should be able to configure his/her own computer for hands-on training with given instructions
