Learning outcomes

The student is able to
- choose appropriate methods for a development project and provide justification for the choices
- collect and analyse empirical data
- interpret empirical results and make conclusions based on them
- recognize the ethical point of view of the research and development work
- evaluate the reliability and validity of research
- apply the principles of research communication orally and in writing
- draw up and interpret research and development reports

Result presentations 10.9. 12.30 - 15.40, Laurea Tikkurila. Attendance in these sessions is mandatory.

Teaching methods

Study unit is integrated to Urban Growth - GSIP Vantaa -project. You will learn about research methods in real research environment. The study unit is co-operated with research centers PT and Etla.
