Learning outcomes

The student is able to analyse the health risks and threats to the populations’ health on community and individual level
• apply recommendations and research information related to the prevention of chronic illnesses when planning and implementing guidance on healthy lifestyles for patients and their families
• plan and implement interventions to promote health and functional capacity for individuals and significant others in utilising multiprofessional cooperation and networks
• plan, implement and evaluate resource-based guidance and online guidance that supports individual selfmanagement with varying pedagogical methods and with ethical justifications
• describe guidance and information related to the prevention and control of infectious diseases

E2_ Factors affecting population’s health and health behaviour (2 ECTS credits; 3,5 Chinese credits) 54 hours: 16 offline lessons; 2 online lessons; 36 hours independent work, group work, pair work, practical work

Content:
• Starting points for health promotion in nursing
o Population's well-being, health and chronic diseases
o Health and welfare inequalities
• Lifestyles or health behavior
o nutrition, physical exercise and weight management
o alcohol, tobacco and snus
o sleep

E3_ Guidance competence
(0,5 ECTS credits; 0,85 Chinese credits) 13,5 hours: 6 offline lessons; 1 online lesson; 6,5 hours independent work, group work, pair work, practical work
