Learning outcomes
The student is able to
- explain the role of mediation in criminal justice systems
- define the background theory of restorative justice and its values and main principles
- define the roles of voluntary and professional mediators in mediation activities
- apply a mediation approach in their professional activities and evaluate the possibilities of resolving various conflicts
- identify and compare the questions that arise from specific issues in criminal and civil cases mediation
- outline Street mediation and its connection to criminal and civil mediation
