Learning outcomes

The student is able to:   
- understand and explain the biopsychosocial model and its relevance to pain
- assess or measure the biological, physical, and psychosocial factors that contribute to pain, impairment, and disability using valid and reliable assessment tools.
- use an evidence-based management program in collaboration with the client, directed at modifying pain and encouraging helpful behaviors.
