Osaamistavoitteet

The student is able to
- describe the main concepts of anatomy and physiology
- describe the structure and functioning of cells, tissues, organs and organ systems, and explain their significance in the functioning of the human body as a whole
- describe the main concepts of microbiology and pathology, and the classification of diseases
- explain the significance of microbes for human health and the causation of infectious diseases
- explain how different factors affect the causation of diseases and cause changes in the body
- describe the different types of tissue damage, their causation mechanisms and symptoms

Toteutustapa

Physiology and anatomy for exams 1. and 2. will be held as lectures.

There will be self studies according microbiology, anatomy and physiology.

Studies are 5 cr. This is about 134 h. students work.

Lectures and exams 32 h. All other work is as students independent work.

Student doesn't get at least 50% of the base knowledge or doesn't do all the self study tasks as guided.

Student gets at least 50% but not more than 64% of the base knowledge or does all the self study tasks as guided.

Arviointikriteerit, hyvä (3-4)

Student gets at least 65% but not more than 84% of the base knowledge or does all the self study tasks as guided.

Arviointikriteerit, kiitettävä (5)

Student gets at least 0ver 85% of the base knowledge or does all the self study tasks as guided.
