Toteutustapa

The study unit is designed to suit students who are working.

The study unit is conducted entirely online via the MS Teams platform and does not require on-campus attendance.

The study unit includes scheduled online meetings and guidance sessions, all held between 4 PM and 8 PM on weekdays. The first meeting and last meeting (presentations) will be recorded and can be viewed on Teams afterwards.

The study unit begins with an introduction to practical matters and a presentation of the project assignment by the partner company.

Over the following three weeks, students will familiarize themselves with the partner company, its competitive landscape, and relevant marketing themes. During this time, they will complete an individual pre-assignment that builds the necessary theory foundation for the next phase.

The final week of the course is the design sprint week. During this intensive week, students work in groups on a real-world development project using the design sprint method. The week concludes with presentations to the partner company.

MS Teams is used throughout the course to support all activities: meetings, communication, study materials, assignments, and submissions all take place on Teams.

The study unit includes both individual work (pre-task) and collaborative work in pairs or groups (company project assignment). Active participation and full commitment during the design sprint week are essential.

Students receive individual feedback from the teacher on their assignments. Feedback from the project company and peer reviews are also utilized.

Attendance during the first zoom session and design sprint week is mandatory.

The use of artificial intelligence is allowed in this course. However, students must clearly explain in their assignment reports how AI was used and for what purpose.

Työelämäyhteistyö ja/tai TKI

In this study unit, students will work on a real-life development project for a designated partner company. The partner company is pre-arranged by the lecturers. All student teams will collaborate on the same company project, each focusing on a different aspect or theme.
