The student is able to
- plan, implement and evaluate a Service Design project with service design methods
- develop sustainable practices in organisations

Theory studying in the project:
1.Self-study in Canvas (3 ects/vr), Service Design / Double diamond
2.Theory base writing, 1500 words academic writing with references and applying part (3ects)
3. Project work (9 ects/cr)

Toteutustapa

Project content and implementation:

If you work in future with any Digital Services (retail, tourism, banking, HR...) or product development or in Consulting business, it's valuable to know how to envolve and engage collegues and clients in ideation and co-creation. We will learn Service Design and co-create a ideation workshop for an International Conference:

The Skills you gain can be used in HR, Product or Service Development and Management.

- Project is based on getting to know workshop ideation and co-creation methods
- We use Service Design in creating a ideation workshop concept for International Conference
- We assist in facilitators in an International Conference for Professionals in Mobile Health and eHealth (see later Partner)
- We collect feedback from this International conference
- And lastly the we will sketch concepts, test them and present them to our Partner

TEAM´S MAIN TASK IN PROJECT IS TO
Our task is to assist in an International Conference, analyse the work in Conference workshops and design sustainable best practice workshop concept.

WHAT DOES SUSTAINABLE MEAN IN THIS PROJECT
This year the International Conference's theme is "Human oriented approach in eHealth and digital services" and workshops are focusing on Testlabs and Living Labs (for piloting and testing digital services and innovations), but next year it will be something else. Sustainable in our project means, that the concept that we will develop, fits any theme in the future.

NOTE:
- We will visit and work in assisting role in eHealth Congres workshops at Laurea Tikkurila Campus 13.10.2023.

NORMAL GUIDANCE MEETINGS: On Tuesdays 10-11.30.

12:00-15:00 Lunch & Team roles and Getting organised with Brief using e.g. GROW (without supervisor) 15:00-16:00 KickOff continues with supervisors.
- 5.9. onwards project days on Tuesdays!
> For minilectures on Service Design, my Tuesday teams will be together. We will agree this separately.

We will visit and work in assisting role in eHealth workshops at Laurea Tikkurila Campus 13.10.2023.
Meetings with Project Partner are booked already for 12.9.2023 prior to the Conference.

According to the degree regulations (section 18) "students must be present for the first contact teaching session, or they must notify the responsible teacher of their absence to confirm they intend to participate in studies… Registration for the study unit will be rejected, if the student does not notify the teacher of being absent from the first contact teaching session or the reason for their absence cannot be considered justified." The first contact session in a project means the first meeting between the project team and the supervisor (pre-brief).

Project guidance is offered on a weekly basis. The student can compare the available guidance sessions in Timetable Engine and select those projects/studies that do not overlap.

Toteutuksen valinnaiset suoritustavat

All students are entitled to demonstrate their competence. The recognition and accreditation of prior competence is initiated by the students themselves. The competence is recognized and accredited by the teacher responsible for the studies or another person designated to the position. The assessment is carried out according to the same assessment criteria and, as a rule, same grading scale as that adopted for the corresponding study unit or module. The student is entitled to apply for accreditation of prior competence regardless of where, how and when the competence has been acquired. The student may also seek accreditation of competence to be acquired on the job as part of their degree (work-based learning). ... The student is responsible for demonstrating and verifying their competence and for providing sufficient information.

Opiskelijan ajankäyttö ja kuormitus

1 cr/ects = 26.7 h

The student spends approximately 16 hours of weekly working time on the project; in other words, approximately 8 hrs for team work and approximately 8 hrs for independent work per week.

Aims of the project, to produce:

To learn how to do a Lean Workshop (in an assisting role).
Proto of Testbed and/or Living lab (according to the needs that the eHealth Professionals have).

The study unit corresponds to the requirements of Bachelor's level education.

This study implementation is a P2P project meaning that the project is completed in a small group and guided by a teacher. Participating in the project requires attendance in the project guidance meetings and group meetings.
