The students is able to
- interact in various social situations
- develop one’s Finnish skills utilizing the Finnish speaking society and environment
- reflect on Finnish lifestyle, policies and services of everyday life
- use the most frequent grammar structures to convey one’s message
- reach the target level A2.1-A2.2 in CEFR

Teaching methods

The course consists of contact lessons at Otaniemi campus and in zoom. Alsos independent and group assignments in Canvas.

Oma Suomi 1 -book and canvas-materials
More detailed information about the materials will be provided during the first lesson.

Students workload

Student's work load consists of attending contacts lessons and completing the assignments.

Evaluation methods and criteria

The course assessment is threefold:
1) A vocabulary test
2) An individual video of your life
3) A short essay

This study unit is for student of education export groups to develop their language skills to meat the language skill level B1. If you are unsure whether this is suitable for you, please discuss with your tutor teacher.
