Teaching methods
This implementation offered for students of Turvallisuus ja riskienhallinta.
Study unit includes 5 modules:
1. Introduction, Cybersecurity Framework used in studies

Study unit includes contact and virtual studies & assignment, guest lectures and workshops and virtual learning

All materials are in English, Finnish is used in workshops.
NOTE:
- This study unit is preferably offered for students of Turvallisuus ja riskienhallinta.as compulsory studies (HTA groups) and other students are eligible to be enrolled in case of free seats
- Course materials are in English, but we use also Finnish in contact lessons and Finnish can be used in some assignments

Employer connections
Students are going to participate Cyber Morning seminar and Guest lectures. Date of the seminar will be added to schedule later.
Exam schedules
Every module starts with contact or virtual lesson. Modules include virtual & other individual studies, self studies with videos & written material, online exams, applying assignments and reflections.
Modules 1-4 are followed by Tutoring hour, where teachers answer questions about the module.
All exams & assignments must be done before deadline, not late returns are accepted. Final exam will end the study unit.
Completion alternatives
According to the degree regulations “all students are entitled to demonstrate their competence. The recognition and accreditation of prior competence is initiated by the students themselves. The competence is recognised and accredited by the teacher responsible for the module or study unit or another person designated by the director of the UAS unit. The assessment is carried out according to the same criteria and grading scale as that adopted for the corresponding study unit.” For further information visit Intranet

Qualifications
Before enrolling to this study unit, you should have adequate competence level of safety, security and risk management, which you can acquire for example by completing study unit Business Continuity 5 credits or Basics of Corporate Safety, Security and Risk Management 10 credits
Further information
According to the degree regulations (section 18) “students must be present in the first contact session or notify their teacher in charge if they cannot attend. If they fail to notify the teacher of their absence in the first contact session, their enrolment will be rejected. Another student in the queue may be enrolled in the study unit in the place of the absent student.” (Laurea degree regulations) In the case of online studies the lecturer can also specify some other way than participation on an online meeting what is required from the student so that he/she verifies his/her attendance on the study unit (Decision by the vice president, education 7/2019).
