Learning outcomes
The student
- is able to consider the factors affecting human behaviour and ways to impact it
- is familiar with the basic concepts in the scientific explanation of criminality
- has knowledge of the most central theories explaining criminality and are able to asses them critically
- is familiar with the main quantitative and qualitative features of criminality in Finland
- is familiar with the fundamentals of disengaging from criminal behaviour (desistance)
- is capable of analysing and structuring expertise in the corrective services sector from the perspective of rehabilitative work
