Toteutustapa
The project is completed in cooperation with a working life partner in a P2P learning environment. Working life partner is Väritukku. The aim of the project is to develop the company´s marketing and provide new material to support it. The project is related to pipe renovations and the main goal is to make it possible for the end-users to select the materials used (competitive advantage). The project will be carried out both in English and in Finnish, so both language skills are necessary.
The enrolled students will develop their competencies related to the study in question during this project implementation.
The weekly meeting time with supervisor is on Thursdays at 10.30-11.30 in Teams. The project team will work together online. There are three compulsory meetings in Hyvinkää: Project kick-off on Thursday 5.9. at 11.30-13.30, the project conference in December 2024, and one weekly meeting that will be agreed together with the team.
The project includes, in addition to teamwork, scheduled guidance on campus and online, which require participation. An independently studied part (in Canvas) supports the project implementation. Studying requires active participation and commitment to interactive project work. You will receive individual feedback for assignments from the teacher, and working life or peer feedback are also utilised.
Project’s guidance and working sessions can be viewed in Timetable Engine / Tuudo. Communication practices are agreed on a project-specific basis.

The study unit corresponds to the requirements of Bachelor's level education.
This study implementation is a P2P project meaning that the project is completed in a small group and guided by a teacher. Participating in the project requires attendance in the project guidance meetings and group meetings.
The prerequisite for participation is always that the possible competence prerequisites according to the curriculum (previous study or similar competence) are fulfilled. The student is responsible for taking into account the prerequisite conditions.

Arviointimenetelmät ja arvioinnin perusteet
Competence assessment is based on the descriptions of objectives in the curricula, and the level of competence is assessed according to the assessment criteria listed in the implementation plan for the studies. (Laurea degree regulations 2024).
Evaluation is discussed at the beginning of the project.
In this study unit the assessing of the competences will be done by using the criteria set for requirement level II.

To achieve grade 5 student must be able to

Toteutustapa
Project Description:
This project focuses on designing, writing, producing, and possibly editing short videos for marketing purposes for My HomesID. The goal is to create compelling, publishable video content that aligns with the company's image and marketing strategy.
Key Project Activities:
Video Design and Scripting
Producing videos according to the approved scripts
Possibly Video Editing: Depending on the project team's skills
Incorporating client feedback and scripted content to the videos, to ensure project success
Measuring the engagement and awareness the social media advertising
Preferred Skillset:
Editing, Filming & applicants who are comfortable appearing on camera are preferred, as some videos may require on-screen presence.
Expected Outcomes:
The project aims to deliver a series of professional level marketing videos that effectively promote My HomesID's services.

Toteutustapa
Project will be carried out as a P2P project in cooperation with the Institute of Economy and Trade of Tajik State University of Commerce in Khujand, Tajikistan (https://iet.tj/en/index-e/) AND with companies from both countries looking to expand business in Finland/EU and Tajikistan/Central Asia.
Project content (Finnish Company): To research and understand Decontamination systems market structure in selected markets; key decision/policy makers, clients and their potential, potential partners and re-sellers in international markets. This Hyvinkää-based family-owned company manufactures and sells decontamination systems, decontaminants, decontamination sprayers and portable showers. Potential clients include Defence Forces, Fire Brigades, Civil Defence, Industrial Plants as well as different Healthcare Units all over the world. Products are used for decontaminating people and equipment. Environmental safety, mobility, modularity and integrability are key drivers in product development. Company finds solutions for customer’s needs and acts as an integral part of authority network.

Kick-Off (mandatory participation): September 3rd at 10.00 o'clock, Laurea Hyvinkää Campus room 3-18.
It is compulsory to participate in the project kickoff meeting so that everyone participating in the project will receive the information on the project task.
Project guidance is offered on a weekly basis. The student can compare the available guidance sessions in Timetable Engine and select those projects/studies that do not overlap.
According to the degree regulations (2024) "the student must be present at the first contact lesson or notify the teacher in charge of their absence to confirm their participation in the study. Registration will be rejected if the student does not report their absence at the start of the study or the reason for the absence cannot be considered justified. Another student can be taken in their place. In project studies the first contact lesson is the first meeting of the project team and guiding lecture(s).

Institute of Economy and Trade of Tajik State University of Commerce in Khujand, Tajikistan is academic cooperation partner. Additionally there will be two companies looking to expand their operations in Tajikistan/Central Asia and Finland/EU.
The project will be implemented with a team of students and staff from Institute of Economy and Trade of Tajik State University of Commerce. Students will be divided to smaller working teams so that Finnish and Tajik students work together. Guidance is provided by Tajik and Finnish lecturer.

Branding and Positioning: Develop a strong brand identity for KÄPY, focusing on its unique features like ecological design, energy efficiency, and the nature-inspired aesthetic.

Daytime contact learning on Campus:
An independently studied part (in Canvas) supports the project implementation. It is important to take part in project teamwork and guidance on campus according to schedule. Studying requires active participation and commitment to interactive project work. You will receive individual feedback for assignments from the teacher, and working life or peer feedback are also utilised.
The project is completed in cooperation with a working life partner in a P2P learning environment. Working life partner is Laurea's Key Partner Company.

The enrolled students will develop their competencies related to the study in question during this project implementation.
Project’s guidance and working sessions can be viewed in Timetable Engine / Tuudo. Communication practices are agreed on a project-specific basis.

It is compulsory to participate in the project kickoff meeting so that everyone participating in the project will receive the information on the project task.
Project guidance is offered on a weekly basis. The student can compare the available guidance sessions in Timetable Engine and select those projects/studies that do not overlap.
According to the degree regulations (section 18) "students must be present for the first contact teaching session, or they must notify the responsible teacher of their absence to confirm they intend to participate in studies. Registration for the study unit will be rejected, if the student does not notify the teacher of being absent from the first contact teaching session or the reason for their absence cannot be considered justified."

In this study unit the assessing of the competences will be done by using the criteria set for requirement level II.

To achieve grade 5 student must be able to

Toteutustapa
Building upon the foundation laid in the previous semester, this project involves the practical application and evaluation of the sustainable growth strategy developed for an IT startup, MyHID Oy. The focus will be on the implementation of the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) based action plan and the assessment of its effectiveness in achieving the startup's sustainability goals.
Pssible Project Activities (To be decided at the project brief):
Strategy Implementation: Guide the IT startup in integrating the ESG-based action plan into its daily operations, focusing on sustainable practices and decision-making.
Monitoring and Evaluation: Develop and utilize monitoring tools to track the effectiveness of the implemented strategies, measuring their impact on the startup's sustainability performance.
Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with various stakeholders, including employees, customers, and investors, to gather feedback and insights on the sustainability initiatives.
Sustainability Reporting: Enhance the startup's sustainability reporting system, ensuring transparent and responsible communication of its sustainability efforts and progress.
Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement based on the evaluation results and refine the sustainability strategy accordingly.

Toteutustapa
The project is completed in cooperation with a working life partner in a P2P learning environment. Working life partner is Laurea, SURE-program.
Project Description:In this 15-credit project, a team of students will investigate the current talent shortage facing businesses and explore how marketing strategies can provide solutions. The project focuses on recruitment marketing and the potential competitive edge provided by AI tools in marketing communications.
Key Project Activities:
Conduct market research on Skills Data tools to understand their landscape and efficacy.
Examine knowledge management practices within the context of recruitment and AI.
Produce a conference article discussing the intersections of AI and learning as they relate to recruitment.
Perform a current state analysis of recruitment marketing to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities.
Expected Outcomes:
Students will gain hands-on experience in market research, strategic analysis, and academic writing, all while tackling a real-world business problem. The project aims to produce actionable insights into how AI can transform recruitment marketing, thereby offering businesses a tangible solution to the skill gap challenge.
The enrolled students will develop their competencies related to the study in question during this project implementation.
Daytime learning:
An independently studied part (in Canvas) supports the project implementation, but it is important to take part in project teamwork and guidance on campus according to schedule. Studying requires active participation and commitment to interactive project work. You will receive individual feedback for assignments from the teacher, and working life or peer feedback are also utilised.]
Project’s guidance and working sessions can be viewed in Timetable Engine / Tuudo. Communication practices are agreed on a project-specific basis.

It is MANDATORY to participate in teaching on campus, in Hyvinkää.

They match people in the beginning of their careers with available jobs and help businesses find the best new talent.

Bravura is a recruitment- and staffing company founded in Sweden 15 years ago. With 15 offices and growing, Bravura is one of the market leaders in the business. During Spring 2023, Bravura Suomi launched their operations in Helsinki, Finland and is looking to build a strong name and brand locally. Bravura’s company values are goal-oriented, trustworthy, inspiring and generous.
Bravura Suomi plays an essential role in providing students with authentic problem-solving experiences. The Project objectives and principles will be defined in client briefing.

This Digital Marketing and Sales project will be carried out as a P2P project in co-operation with key partners Senior Lecturer Asko Mononen, Digital Living Lab Laurea Leppävaara and Doctor Zhang from Kuntai Robotics in Zhejiang, China. Other potential partners are HAMK University of Applied Sciences, Hämeenlinna (Finland) and Zhejiang University (China).
The 3 project objectives:
Firstly, this project will start by designing the project model P2P to be applicable for online learning in Finland – China composition. (Zhejiang is an eastern coastal province of China. Its capital and largest city is Hangzhou.)
Secondly, this project will prepare a Living Lab concept implementation plan for exoskeleton living lab. The principles of Service Design and Living Labs concept are to focus as well as exoskeletons. All these will be studied within this project. You will gain insights into how benchmarking will benefit your implementation plan. We will have an earlier case for benchmark: Forge Academy, South Africa.
Thirdly, understanding the business culture of China. We finish with an overview of the
China's Business Culture and Etiquette. It is always wise to know ahead of time what is deemed appropriate and what is not when visiting a foreign land, especially when it comes to business etiquette and interactions. We will learn some useful tips to China’s business culture and etiquette for smooth sailing and pleasant business communications with clients and colleagues.
The Project objectives and principles will be defined in client briefing which will be held in August.

This project is a part of collaboration with partners in Finland and China. The first phase of the collaboration was a project “Developing wearable intelligence learning environment – WeaLE”. The active part of it started in January 2021 with content learning and trip preparations. Due to pandemic, the first networking trip took place as late as May 2023. The next step is to develop further collaboration for mutual advantage.

Toteutuksen valinnaiset suoritustavat
All students are entitled to demonstrate their competence. The recognition and accreditation of prior competence is initiated by the students themselves. The competence is recognized and accredited by the teacher responsible for the studies or another person designated to the position. The assessment is carried out according to the same assessment criteria and, as a rule, same grading scale as that adopted for the corresponding study unit or module. The student is entitled to apply for accreditation of prior competence regardless of where, how and when the competence has been acquired. The student may also seek accreditation of competence to be acquired on the job as part of their degree (work-based learning). ... The student is responsible for demonstrating and verifying their competence and for providing sufficient information.

According to the degree regulations (section 18) "students must be present for the first contact teaching session, or they must notify the responsible teacher of their absence to confirm they intend to participate in studies… Registration for the study unit will be rejected, if the student does not notify the teacher of being absent from the first contact teaching session or the reason for their absence cannot be considered justified." The first contact session in a project means the first meeting between the project team and the supervisor (pre-brief). This project pre-brief meeting will be held on Monday 28 August at 13-14 pm on Hyvinkää campus. Lecturer will send you an Outlook invitation in early August with all details.
It is compulsory to participate in the project client brief meeting so that everyone participating in the project will receive the information on the project task. The client brief will be held on Monday 28 August right after pre-brief meeting at 14.15-15.15 pm on Hyvinkää campus. You will receive a detailed Outlook calendar invitation by the Lecturer in early August.
Project guidance (project meetings) is offered on a weekly basis on Mondays at 13-14 pm on Hyvinkää campus. The student can compare the available guidance sessions in Timetable Engine and select those projects/studies that do not overlap.

The client is a Finnish Company operating in drinks/food sector.
Plan, implement and evaluate a Service Business project and develop sustainable practices in organizations. Analyze and use business reports in projects. Use strategic planning, analysis and decision making tools in project contexts. Make business decisions in various project contexts.
The project is completed in cooperation with a working life partner in a P2P learning environment. Working life partner is Laurea's Key Partner Company.
The enrolled students will develop their competencies related to the study in question during this project implementation.
Daytime learning:
An independently studied part (in Canvas) supports the project implementation, but it is important to take part in project teamwork and guidance on campus according to schedule. Studying requires active participation and commitment to interactive project work. You will receive individual feedback for assignments from the teacher, and working life or peer feedback are also utilised.
Project’s guidance and working sessions can be viewed in Timetable Engine. Communication practices are agreed on a project-specific basis.

The first contact session in a project means the first meeting between the project team and the supervisor (pre-brief 28.8 12-13 at Laurea Hyvinkää Campus, room 3-18.
It is compulsory to participate in the project kickoff meeting so that everyone participating in the project will receive the information on the project task. Kick-off meeting with the client 11.9. 12-13 at Laurea Hyvinkää Campus, room 2-32.
Project guidance is offered on a weekly basis. The student can compare the available guidance sessions in Timetable Engine and select those projects/studies that do not overlap.

Project content: To research and understand Decontamination systems market structure in selected markets; key decision/policy makers, clients and their potential, potential partners and re-sellers in international markets.
This Hyvinkää-based family-owned company manufactures and sells decontamination systems, decontaminants, decontamination sprayers and portable showers. Potential clients include Defence Forces, Fire Brigades, Civil Defence, Industrial Plants as well as different Healthcare Units all over the world. Products are used for decontaminating people and equipment. Environmental safety, mobility, modularity and integrability are key drivers in product development. Company finds solutions for customer’s needs and acts as an integral part of authority network.

Toteutustapa
Sustainability has become a crucial aspect of any business strategy, and the IT industry is no exception. This student project focuses on developing a sustainable growth strategy for an IT startup. The project will explore the different frameworks and criteria for sustainability, including the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors.
Additionally, the project will consider the importance of responsible reporting and accountability through a sustainability program and reporting system. Finally, the project will identify and develop a set of sustainability criteria that the IT startup can use to guide its operations, ensuring that it remains aligned with its sustainability goals.

Project implementation mode: the project will be carried out as a P2P project in cooperation with Mount St. Joseph University, Ohio (https://cite.msj.edu/index/)
The project is part of a research project Ypro-Ukr. The goals of the research project are to improve the possibilities of immigrants in Finland to find a job or a place to study. The test group of the project are the Ukrainians that have lately arrived in Finland. In this P2P project an online application will be designed and concretely built. Furthermore, marketing measures will be taken to make sure that the application is found by the target groups.

To achieve grade 5 student must be able to
- evaluate the applicability of produced knowledge, skill or idea to other contexts as well as their impact
- anticipate needs of customers and/or co-operation partners
To achieve grade 3 student must be able to
- propose creative solutions at work
- promote professional co-operation and enhance customer and partner relationships
To achieve grade 1 (or pass) student must be able to
- act independently taking into account the operating environment
- take responsibility for interaction with customers and/or co-operation partners and for responding to their needs
Teamwork skills, leadership and responsibility
To achieve grade 5 student must be able to
- evaluate and develop the team’s entrepreneurial and responsible approach to work
- evaluate the possibilities for utilising competence and plan their personal development and development of the team
To achieve grade 3 student must be able to
- act in a manner that promotes the team’s entrepreneurial and responsible approach to work
- describe the development of their competence in relation to the learning outcomes
To achieve grade 1 (or pass) student must be able to
- describe the significance of their actions for successful co-operation
- describe their competence in relation to the learning outcomes
“Students who has failed to demonstrate their competence in accordance with the approved level must supplement or retake their study attainment in a manner and schedule defined by the teacher of the study unit. In project studies, students must supplement the competence missing from the project’s learning outcomes, until their competence can be evaluated as passing.” (Degree regulations.)
