Learning outcomes

The student is able to
- know strong and weak bonds and understand their significance, e.g. for the state of matter
- know the most common functional groups of basic carbon compounds and their significance for the characteristics of the carbon compound
- link the physical and chemical properties of substances used in cosmetics with their chemical structure
- identify the tasks of various chemical compounds in cosmetics products at a general level
- identify key chemical reactions for the working of hair and skin care products
