The student will be able to:
- communicate appropriately and purposefully in oral and written communication and documentation situations required in their own professional field
- identify the content, structural, and linguistic features of the most important text genres in their own professional field and apply them in practice
- utilize language editing tools professionally and ethically
- use source references according to their own university guidelines
- communicate in Finnish in a manner that achieves at least level B1.2 of the Common European Framework and receive recognition for completing the language examination for government officials.

This study unit is intended for those who have studied Finnish as the second national language and have Swedish as their language of school education.
Based on the completion of the study unit, students who have studied Finnish as the second national language and have Swedish as their language of school education receive a numerical assessment of their oral and written Finnish skills in their degree certificate.
