Teaching methods

At the campus on a weekly basis with the support of Canvas platform. NOTICE! In order to confirm Your course attendance, You will need to be present at the 1st session or inform the teacher of Your absence in advance. Otherwise You may loose their place at the course.

REQUIRED ATTENDANCE: 70 % OF THE LESSONS. The students are allowed to be absent max 2 times during the autumn term.

Location and time

At the Leppävaara campus.

The course will take place on weekly basis (once a week, 3 lessons). Exceptions in the course schedule in Pakki after the course has started.
Course ends around the middle of December.
NOTICE! THE STUDENTS HAVE TO BE PRESENT AT THE 1ST SESSION OR INFORM THE TEACHER IN ADVANCE ON THEIR ABSENCE. Otherwise they may loose their place at the course.

Students workload

5 credits requires a workload of 135 hours. About 40-45 of them will be used for weekly lessons in classroom. Homework and home studies will take the rest of the hours, however, it may vary depending on students' personal activeness, skills and goals.

Content and scheduling

Interacting in everyday situations, vocabulary of weather, clothing, travelling, health and emotions. Grammatical structures of expressing locations and necessity, KPT change in verb type 1.

Prerequisites: 10 cr in Finnish (or otherwise aquired basic skills). Starting level: A1.3.

Grades 1-5. The final course grade consists of:
