Learning outcomes

The student is able to
- communicate in oral and written Swedish/English in work life situations in their own sector at proficiency level B1 of the C the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and at the level required under section 7 of the Government Decree on Universities of Applied Sciences (1129/2014)
- tell about the studies and tasks of a rehabilitation counsellor and to guide and meet customers in rehabilitation situations in Swedish
- use key Swedish rehabilitation counselling terminology used by professionals in the sector
- improve their interaction, communication, information search and reporting skills in Swedish in professional rehabilitation counselling situations
- develop their professional language skills by using different types of learning techniques and tools

The study unit is compulsory for those whose language of school education is Finnish.
