The student is able to
- identify the requirements for perioperative care environment
- apply the options of the perioperative care and service path as required by the circumstances
- apply patient safety principles in perioperative nursing setting
- apply ethical principles of nursing in perioperative setting
- use different methods to document and report care of perioperative patient
- work effectively with multidisciplinary operating room team
- apply knowledge of physiology and anatomy that impact on the patient undergoing surgery
- apply patient centered guiding principles in different perioperative nursing situations
- asses the condition of the patient and changes in vital signs throughout the perioperative care process
- recognise the most common emergencies related to the treatment of surgical patients and act in an acute situation
