- identify the most common substance dependencies
- apply legislation and theoretical key points in substance abuse work.
- analyse their own attitudes towards clients who use substances
- encounter clients who abuse substances
- analyse appropriate substance abuse services based on needs and select client-supportive methods utilising the client's support network.
