All students are entitled to demonstrate their competence. The recognition and accreditation of prior competence is initiated by the students themselves. According to the degree regulations (section 18) “students must be active in the study unit or notify their teacher in charge if they cannot attend. If they fail to notify the teacher of their absence in the first contact session, their enrollment will be rejected.

Content and scheduling

The study unit consists 4 modules:

1) cloud concepts,
2) cloud infrastructure and security,
3) basic cloud services and
4) cloud architecture and scaling.

The study unit is online and you can do it in your own pace.

In this study unit you'll will learn cloud basics and you will get practical learning with AWS cloud. This study unit is done together with AWS Academy and the study unit content is aligned with the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner Certification.

Evaluation methods and criteria

“The evaluation of competence is based on the descriptions of objectives in the curricula, and the level of competence is assessed according to the evaluation criteria listed in the implementation plan for the studies.” (Laurea degree regulations).

Grading for this 3 credit part of the course is based on points you'll get by returning the assignments. The grading schema is:

91 - 100 = 5
81- 90 = 4
71- 80 = 3
61- 70 = 2
51 - 60 = 1
0 - 50 = Fail
