Learning outcomes

The student is able to
- broadly perceive different local and global factors that influence Social Services now and in the future
- identify different local and global programs and future plans within Social Services
- recognize different ethical, creative and sustainable working methods in Social Services, community work and client counselling
- identify and acknowledge the best practices and multi-professional, creative and sustainable solutions within Social Services, community work and client counselling

Location and time

18.3.-1.6.2019
Lectures and worshops will be held at Laurea Tikkurila. World Village Festival will be held in Kaisaniemi.

Teaching methods

The study unit consists of lectures, workshops, individual and group assignments and project work at the World Village Festival. Additionally, students can complete UN's / YKn Maailmankansalaisen kypsyyskoe. Students will also participate in lectures and workshops related to Laurea International Week.
