Learning outcomes

The student is able to:
- apply in a client-centred manner the information gained in the examination and assessment of the client’s functioning in clinical reasoning in physiotherapy
- draw up a physiotherapy diagnosis for the client
- apply creative problem solution when preparing the objectives and the plan for the physiotherapy process
- assess the client’s physiotherapy process and the decisions made by themselves in a critical manner

Location and time

In the Laboratory of Otaniemi campus and working life assessement and quiding the client. The students work manly practically according to the physitherapy process.

Teaching methods

Learning outcomes of the course
The student is able to:
- apply in a client-oriented manner the information gained in the examination and assessment of the client’s functional capasity in clinical reasoning in physiotherapy
- draw up a physiotherapy diagnosis for the client
- apply creative problem solution when preparing the objectives and the plan for the physiotherapy process
- assess the client’s physiotherapy process and the decisions made by himself or herself in a critical manner
The study unit focuses on practice so to speak the students` independent work with the clients and the logical use of clinical reasoning during the assessment. The students will examine, analyse, compile description and reasons of the clients pt-process and have to use the best available data as evidence to support their reasoning.

Employer connections

To Test and analyse the spesific physical functionality concerning the clients`movement control and the risk of injury of the adolescents and adults. To make the conclusions of the movent control and quiding practical information and needable retraining instructions accoding to the health and injury prevention point of view. Plan and implement the follow-up schedule to the clients, how they v´can independently retest their movement control.
