Tavoitteet
The student is able to
- plan and report on the progress of a project, taking different elements of project management into consideration and using basic project management tools
- write text that is based on research results, using and referencing reliable sources of their field
- communicate in a goal-oriented way, taking the target audience and need into consideration
- utilise IT tools in project management and communication.

G1_Project management (2 ECTS credits; 3,4 Chinese credits)
54 hours: 12 offline lessons; 2 online lessons; 40 hours independent work, group work, pair work, practical work.
Content:
- the concept of project
- applying project approach to health care work in a targeted manner
- the phases and roles in a project
- being able to manage, plan, collaborate with different stakeholders and report the project.
G2_Academic writing (3 ECTS credits; 5,1 Chinese credits)
81 hours: 16 offline lessons; 2 online lessons; 63 hours independent work, group work, pair work, practical work.
Content:
- search for professional and scientific information
- evaluation of the reliability and validity of the information
- embracing information and applying it to practical work
- Learning to use professional writing style, including reliable referencing and clear structure

Arviointimenetelmät ja arvioinnin perusteet
All courses are assessed by pass/fail or (fail)–1–5.
If the studied Theme includes several sub courses and several assignments, the final grade will be the average grade from different assignments. The students need to pass all courses to get the final grade of the Theme.
Grades
Study units are graded on a scale as follows:
5 (Excellent),
4 (Good),
3 (Good),
2 (Satisfactory),
1 (Satisfactory),
HYV (Pass) and
HYL (Fail).
A study unit, element of implementation, or project may also be assessed on a Pass/Fail (HYV/HYL) scale, if the nature of the implementation specifically requires it. Primarily, the aim is to give a numerical grade. The grade for a study unit/project will be Fail (HYL) if the student does not meet the learning outcomes set for the study unit/project.
