- An automated final test on the fundamentals of Geriatrics and Gerontological Nursing. Assessment is pass/fail.
- Simulation (mandatory attendance). Assessment is pass/fail.

The specific assessment criteria for the components of the course will be communicated and discussed during the course orientation. The orientation will also cover the policies regarding absences and compensatory measures for the course.

Competence assessment is based on the descriptions of objectives in the curricula, and the level of competence is assessed according to the assessment criteria listed in the implementation plan for the studies (Laurea degree regulations 2024).

Students who have not completed the required tasks or exams for passing the course must supplement or retake their performance as determined by the course instructor and within the timeframe specified by the instructor. A failed exam or other performance can be retaken twice on the dates given during the orientation. Failing to attend the main exam will count as one attempt.
