Toteutustapa
This is the second of three courses in the Developing as an expert -study module. The module includes themes that are explored both independently and together with the group. You will also have personal study plan (PSP/HOPS) guidance discussions with your teacher-tutor.
Interactive online implementation:
This course is implemented online and does not require attendance on campus. It includes both individual and peer work. The course features scheduled individual and peer activities as well as remote guidance. Peer collaboration conducted online will not be recorded. The course requires active participation and commitment to interactive learning. You will receive feedback on your competence development through peer collaboration and HOPS guidance discussions. More detailed instructions can be found in the course’s Canvas workspace.

During this course, you will structure your professional profile, verbalize your competencies, refine your career plan, and assess your study abilities while setting goals for developing your expertise. Collaboration with others plays a key role. The course consists of independent work on your personal study plan (PSP/HOPS), peer work and preparation for it, as well as PSP/HOPS guidance discussions with your teacher-tutor.

This course uses continuous assessment. The assessment methods include self-assessment, peer feedback, teacher feedback, and teacher assessment. The assessment focuses on the learning objectives of the course. The course is graded as approved or failed.
In evaluating the level of competence, the criteria of Level I of the competence assessment framework for bachelor’s degree students are applied, as described below.
Professional knowledge base, information retrieval, and reporting:
-uses key professional concepts when explaining various work practices and situations
-searches for information from different sources
-reports appropriately
Professional practice and development of working life:
-works under guidance using the skills and methods studied
-works with clients and/or stakeholders
-receives and responds to guidance
Assessed where applicable: teamwork skills, leadership and responsibility:
-works as a member of a group
-plans the progress and time management of their own work under guidance
-acts safely and according to professional ethical principles
-follows given instructions and rules
“A student who has not demonstrated competence at the required passing level according to the assessment criteria must supplement or redo their work in the manner and time defined by the course teacher. If the student does not achieve a passing grade despite the opportunity to supplement their performance, they must retake the course in a manner agreed upon with the teacher.” (Degree Regulations 2024)
