Daytime learning:

A Canvas learning environment is used to support the implementation of the course, and some of the course assignments are completed and returned by a given deadline on the course learning environment. It is important to take part in teaching and guidance on campus according to schedule, and the course includes compulsory attendance on all workshops and on some teaching on campus. The teaching with mandatory attendance is clearly stated on the course timetable and course syllabus.
The study unit includes working in pairs or groups. You will receive individual feedback for assignments from the teacher, and working life or peer feedback may also be utilised.

The course includes:
1. Face-to-face teaching either on campus or in real time on Zoom/Teams. The schedule and location can be found in the course schedule.
2. Student group work in face-to-face teaching on campus
3. Independent studying
4. Assessable assignment returns on the Canvas learning platform, and in face-to-face teaching

The face-to-face teaching on campus is defined as mandatory for students for the following reasons:
• the face-to-face teaching integrates the practice of Finnish vocabulary and expressions of the subject matter in pair and small group work
• the ethics workshop included in the course is mandatory for students
• the seminar at the end of the course includes small group presentations and is therefore mandatory for everyone

Lisätiedot

The study unit corresponds to the requirements of Bachelor's level education. The quality of the study unit implementation has been assessed and the self-evaluation report is available for example in Canvas or Teams.

Use of artificial intelligence to support the development of your own competence: The use of artificial intelligence in the assessed assignments of this course is prohibited (see the section Assessment methods and assessment criteria). We may utilize the opportunities offered by artificial intelligence in face-to-face teaching.

However, it is recommended that the student during their studies will familiarize her-/himself with and utilizes the artificial intelligence tools offered by Laurea to develop artificial intelligence literacy, and both the assessment and utilization of information produced by artificial intelligence. The purpose is therefore to learn about the various possibilities of utilizing artificial intelligence and about the limitations related to its’ utilization. In this way the responsibilities and obligations will become familiar already at the beginning of the studies. You can learn more about the topic in the student intranet (Using artificial intelligence in studies).
