Tavoitteet

Student is able to:
- develop intercultural sensitivity and flexibility to work with international design challenges
- manage and act as an effective member of multicultural design teams
- gain insights about diverse design approaches and customer needs

Toteutustapa

This is a Blended International Programme (BIP) named "Cross-cultural perspectives in the field of design" and includes compulsory online and campus phases (see dates below).

The BIP is implemented as part of Pioneer Alliance, welcoming students and staff from European partner institutions: LAUREA (Finland)
ISCTE (Portugal)
IUAV (Italy)
Gustave Eiffel University (France)

Online + on campus intensive week at Université Gustave Eiffel (UGE), Paris

• ONLINE PHASE: April - May
- Kick-off: Monday 4 May 2026 at 13:30-15:30 (Paris Time): Virtual Kick-off Meeting with all the students and pedagogical team members
-- Tuesday 5 of May 2026 à 13:30-16:30 (Paris Time) : Online self-organiser Workshops for students only (working groups gathering to complete Assignement 2) (3hours)
- Monday 11 of May 2026 9:30-11:30 (Paris Time) : Online self-organiser Workshops for students only (working groups gathering to complete Assignement 2) (2hours)


• INTENSIVE PROJECT WEEK at UGE in Paris: 18.-22.5. 2026 at 9 - 17

Opiskelijan ajankäyttö ja kuormitus

3 ects = appr. 80 h

Please be prepared for full work days (appr. 9 - 17) during the intensive project week.
The week will include one recreational/cultural event.

Extra option:
Laurea students wishing to earn additional 2 ects's may do an extra essay assignment (as part of A9308-3009 Cross-Cultural Issues in Service Development) during summer 2026.
