The CU5 of ManagiDiTh Master's programme introduces the student to the concepts of technology and society and their intricate interplay with health. The specific focus of the course is how the social and the technical worlds influences health and wellbeing, at individual, communal and global spheres. The course aims to provide societal, relational and political competences that are especially needed in the planning and development of health and wellbeing services in the era of digitalization. The students will learn to critically reflect on the development of the digital society in health and wellbeing and to identify problems in its course, particularly related to equal access to the benefits of digitalization as well as social inclusion. This CU wants that each student contributes to solve real-world development problems, by knowing and mobilising relevant theory and their core concepts, design thinking and methods, to observe and apply them in practice.
