Learning outcomes
The student is able to
- plan, implement and evaluate a Service Design project with service design methods
- develop sustainable practices in organisations
Materials
Learning materials will be announced in the beginning of the project.
Teaching methods
The project is conducted at Laurea Tikkurila campus.
ATTENDANCE IS COMPULSORY at the starting session. There the learning objectives, schedule and working practices will be handled as well as the project assignments nominated to teams. The schedule is available at Pakki/Tuudo.
Lectures take place in the first weeks of the project.
Weekly project guidance and team meetings run throughout the semester. The project includes lectures, workshops, exam and teamwork in cooperation with partner organizations.
Active project work and participation in project guidance and team meetings as well as passing the exam will be requires to pass the project. Attendance at the lectures is highly recommended but not compulsory.
English is the main language but Finnish could also be used aside.
Employer connections
The project teams carry out service design in close collaboration with the partner organization.
Exam schedules
Attendance compulsory at the starting session, based on degree regulation.
In addition, attendance is required a presentations of mid and final outputs, workshops and possible visitor lectures.
Completion alternatives
The student can agree with the responsible teacher on demonstrating the required competences instead of conducting the project. More information on this can be found in student intra.
