Completion alternatives

According to the degree regulations “all students are entitled to demonstrate their competence. The recognition and accreditation of prior competence is initiated by the students themselves. The competence is recognised and accredited by the teacher responsible for the module or study unit or another person designated by the director of the UAS unit. The assessment is carried out according to the same criteria and grading scale as that adopted for the corresponding study unit.

Prior higher education studies can be accredited in the degree if their content corresponds to the learning objectives of this study unit.

Demonstration of competence is possible if the student has the competence described in the learning outcomes of this study unit. Competence can be acquired, for example, through his / her prior work experience or studies. The demonstration of competence is always agreed individually with a student.

Students who wish to demonstrate their competence must submit an analysis of their competence for the teachers before the beginning of the study unit. In analysis student describes their competence and how it fulfills the learning outcomes of this study unit. The analysis must contain concrete examples, so for example the list of educations/trainings and job titles is not enough.
