Project weekly team working day: Tuesday 9-16.
Advisory meeting: Every Tuesday, 9:30-10.30
Note that it possibly students have to work also some other weekdays than tuesday, also in weekend. These date will be agreed in the beginning of the project.

The project is completed in cooperation with: Vantaan Hiihtoseura Ry (Vantaa XC Ski Club)

Project content: Preliminary description and goals: Designing and organizing Ski School (Cross-Country) events for International Target Groups in co-creation with Ski Club Vantaan Hiihtoseura(VHS) (One of the leading Ski Clubs in the Finland). Piloting and testing the Ski School concept. Contacting the target groups. Collecting the customer experience data from the participants of the Ski School events. Designing the (business) concept for the future. Ski Schools will be organized on the Olympic Stadium/Park or on Hakunila Skiing Arena.
Competences and Skills: SERVICE DESIGN, CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE, CO-CREATION, EVENT ORGANIZING & MARKETING, SPORT MARKETING, SPORT MANAGEMENT, INTERNATIONAL CO-OPERATING, VOLUNTARY WORK MANAGEMENT, PROJECT MANAGEMENT. (Maybe a bit skiing too:))

The project may provide competence and credits for other modules: PROJECT MANAGEMENT, MARKETING

Guidance sessions and communication practices are agreed on a project-specific basis.

If this project is fully booked, students may use post-enrolment to apply for projects and study units which still accept students.

Laurea reserves the right to make changes.

Toteutuksen tärkeät päivämäärät

Project guidance is offered on a weekly basis. As a student, you may compare the available guidance sessions in Lukkarikone and select those projects/studies that do not overlap. According to the degree regulations (section 18 ) compulsory attendance in a study unit must be specified and justified in the study unit’s implementation plan.

In addition, the project team schedules a separate meeting to work on the project after the kickoff briefing.

Supervisors send a separate briefing invitation to those who were accepted to the project approximately one week before the kickoff briefing.

The project is focusing on internationality. The target groups are international people (groups) living in Finland.

Toteutuksen valinnaiset suoritustavat

All students are entitled to demonstrate their competence. The recognition and accreditation of prior competence is initiated by the students themselves. The competence is recognised and accredited by the teacher responsible for the studies or another person designated to the position. The assessment is carried out according to the same assessment criteria and, as a rule, same grading scale as that adopted for the corresponding study unit or module. The student is entitled to apply for accreditation of prior competence regardless of where, how and when the competence has been acquired. The student may also seek accreditation of competence to be acquired on the job as part of their degree (work-based learning). ... Opiskelijan ajankäyttö ja kuormitus

a student spends approximately 16 hours of work time on the project; in other words, approximately 8 hrs for team work and approximately 8 hrs for independent work per week

Sisältö ja sen jaksotus

The Brief day will be arranged in Vantaa Hakunila. Note that there will be several days during the project the students have to be in Hakunila / Helsinki to organize Ski School events with Vantaa XC Ski Club.
