The student is able to
- use planning, analysis and decision-making tools and techniques in strategic planning
- analyze financial statements and business reports and use them as a basis for decisions
- make business decisions in various business contexts
- apply data in decision making

Toteutustapa

This course is an online course in Canvas. There are, however, besides a course introduction class on Otaniemi Campus on 20.1.2022, two Zoom sessions on 9.2 and 9.3.2022. Please see the schedule below.
The individual exam of the course is made online.
The Business Simulation Game of the course, Cesim Service, is played in teams in competition with other teams.

Week 15 R7 memo, final report and individual team work (P2P) evaluation to be saved.

The course day is Thursday/week 3 and Wednesday/weeks 6 and 10.

Week 3 Introduction of the course, Otaniemi Campus at 9-11.30.
Week 4 Self-study for the individual online exam.
Week 5 Self-study for the individual online exam. DL of team formation.
Week 6 Zoom at 9-11.30. Lectures. Individual registration for the Business Simulation Game Service. Practice round(PR) 1 starting.
Week 7 Individual online exam at 9-10.30. PR1 decisions to be saved by the DL. PR 2 starting.
Week 8 PR2 decisions to be saved by the DL. Round(R) 1 of the actual game starting. Team strategy to be formulated.
Week 9 R1 decisions to be saved by the DL. R2 starting. R1 memo to be saved by the beginning of the following week.
