Further information
During this course students will learn in a practical approach key concepts and methods related to information management and databases. Databases are important components in most of today's information systems and applications. The concepts, tools, and methods covered during this course are an essential knowledge base for anyone willing to have a career in the ICT field.
At the beginning of the course, students will be introduced to key concepts and get an overview of the subject. Later, students will get acquainted with relational databases and how to use the SQL query language to search and manipulate data from a database. NoSQL databases are also discussed during the course.
A virtual learning environment (Viope) is used to offer students the possibility to practice SQL in a flexible manner.
Zoom contact sessions contain theory parts and practice-based workshops guided by the teachers.
