This Project description was updated 2.12.2021. Project will deal with market research in Wärtsilä’s ship and navigational onboard systems.
Wärtsilä Voyage is building a digital ecosystem for commercial shipping where all vessels are technologically smart, safer and energy efficient. Using data and AI driven software, we deliver real-time insights into a vessel’s performance and energy use, to minimise fuel consumption, therefore, reducing the impact on the environment from commercial shipping. Our solutions combine bridge infrastructure, cloud data services and decision support systems to enable ship-to-shore visibility, optimising every movement en route. In doing so, we support mariners' uncompromised dedication to safety through less complex and seamlessly integrated connected tools. Our systems are not limited to ships and shores but eventually will transcend industry borders to create one seamless and sustainable connected global supply chain.
Our product portfolio is the core of our investments and solutions that are innovative, scalable and creating value to all the stakeholders of the maritime world, from vessels owners to fleet managers and operators but also port operators. As such we are constantly evaluating, updating and renewing the portfolio to ensure effective focus of our development efforts and go to market activities. We intent to be at forefront of maritime digitalization, satisfying existing requirements but also engaging our customers with disruptive solutions that can unlock significant value and contribute to reduce the environmental impact of the maritime industry.
In that context we are looking for talented minds to work with our product teams in identifying, qualifying and validating market opportunities for existing and new products, and creating go to market plans accordingly. The projects will be focused on specific strategic opportunities, involving market research, internal and external interviews, as well as developing possible offering segmentation and models. These engagements require autonomy and self-drive, interest in digital technologies and related business models, strong ability to learn fast and think conceptually. You will lead the project, supported by an experienced product manager as a tutor, with wide access to our teams and internal information, conduct external discussions and survey as needed, and shall conclude with senior management presentation(s).
What is in it for you? Not only will you gain hands on experience across the many different areas our Product Office team operate within, but you will also get the rare opportunity to join an organization who are actively disrupting an industry through a number of innovative technologies, contributing to a safer, greener and more efficient future for the Maritime industry.
