Learning outcomes

The student is able to
- identify, meet, guide and support the individual needs of patients and their loved ones comprehensively and is able to utilize attendance as a method of assistance
- describe the meaning of crisis and grief as part of the lives of people of different ages and cultures
- describe the possibilities of multiprofessional cooperation in providing comprehensive support
- use and adapt the concepts of family-centeredness, inclusion and relevance in their work
- identify and anticipate changes in the patient's communication due to the disease
- exploit communication methods and aids that support or replace speech
- reflect on their own attitude towards death and maintain well-being at work
