Teaching methods

This is an online course done in Canvas- platform.
After taking the course you are able to:
-recognize the consumer behavior offline and online (per main demographics)
-plan data collection points and methods online
-analyze data (e.g. aggregation, trends, comparison)
-visualize results (e.g. dashboards)
-plan consumer activation methods based on data

Learning materials and recommended literature

All material needed will be found in online platform for enrolled and accepted students. The course assignments include Google Analytics Academy -exams and certifications.

Alternative completion methods of implementation

If you already have valid Google Analytics certificates and have made projects on this field, there's possibility to demonstrate your earlier competence without completing this course. In this case, contact asko.mononen@laurea.fi

Further information for students

According to the degree regulations (section 18) “students must be present in the first contact session or notify their teacher in charge if they cannot attend. If they fail to notify the teacher of their absence in the first contact session, their enrolment will be rejected. Another student in the queue may be enrolled in the study unit in the place of the absent student.” (Laurea degree regulations) In the case of online studies the lecturer can also specify some other way than participation on an online meeting what is required from the student so that he/she verifies his/her attendance on the study unit (Decision by the vice president, education 7/2019).

“The evaluation of competence is based on the descriptions of objectives in the curricula and the evaluation criteria provided in the study unit’s implementation plan” (Laurea degree regulations).

Student fails to complete Google analytics certificates and other assignments by deadline.

Evaluation criteria, satisfactory (1-2)

Student completes at least 1/5 Google Analytics Academy-course and partially completes given assignments.

Evaluation criteria, good (3-4)

Student completes Google Analytics Academy-courses (5 certificates) and is active in course's discussion forums.

Evaluation criteria, excellent (5)

Student completes Google Analytics Academy-courses (5 certificates), is active in course's discussion forums, provides several quality examples of related topics and gives constructive feedback for other students.
