The Student is able to
- analyse the basis of decision-making in daily care
- use methods of clinical examination and care need assessment of the patient to identify pathological changes in vital functions as early as possible
- propose solutions to help acutely ill mental health or substance abuse clients as a member of a multidisciplinary team
- plan, implement and evaluate nursing care when clients’ vital functions are threatened
- plan, implement and evaluate nursing care of surgery patients
- build a care relationship with clients who need psychological support and/or suffer from a mental health disorder and their significant others
- build a care relationship with substance abuse clients and significant others
- justify the pharmacotherapy used by the main client groups and evaluate their effectiveness
- administer intravenous medication andinfusions safely
