The student is able to
- use planning, analysis and decision-making tools and techniques in strategic planning
- analyze financial statements and business reports and use them as a basis for decisions
- make business decisions in various business contexts
- apply data in decision making

Teaching methods

This course is an online course in Canvas. There are however besides a course introduction class on Leppävaara campus on 13.1.2023, two Zoom sessions on 10.2 and 9.3.2023. Please see the schedule below.
The individual exam of the course is made online on 3.2.2023.
The Business Simulation Game of the course, Cesim Service, is played in teams in competition with other teams.

Week 4 Self-study for the individual online exam. DL of team formation.
Week 5 Individual online exam at 12.30-14.
Week 6 Zoom at 12.30-15. Individual registration for the Business Simulation Game Service. Discussion of the simulation game. Practice round 1 (PR1) starting. Start formulating team strategy.
Week 7 PR1 decisions to be saved by the DL. Practice round 2 (PR2) starting.
Week 8 PR2 decisions to be saved by the DL. R1 of the actual game starting.
Week 9 R1 decisions to be saved by the DL. R2 starting. R1 memo to be saved by the beginning of the following week.
