Understanding customers can be challenging. Still it creates the basis for business development. To whom do you develop your service to? Who is your customer and who is the end user for the product or service? How are you able to find all necessary information and make different decisions based on it? How do you use this information in service design or development?
During this study unit we’ll go through different aspects of customer behavior. The focus and examples are from different digital services. In addition, you’ll get the possibility to analyze your own behavior as a customer.
The study unit grade is based on weekly assignments which need to be completed and returned before the deadlines.

To recognize your prior learning you need to follow the genaral recognition process. Students with experience are, however, recommended not to try to recognize it to skip the course but join the course and share their experience with others. Some assignments can be waived for experienced students case by case.
Industry experts are invited to talk about their field whenever available and suitable for the course content.
There may even be some short projects with partners depending on their availability but in general this course does not have major teamwork.
The detailed course schedule will be published in Canvas some days prior to the start of the course. Participation in the opening session is highly recommended to get a better overview of the course and the assignments. However, it is not mandatory as typically in campus courses. The sessions are recorded when possible but for potential technical issues this cannot be guaranteed.
The critical day is about two weeks from the opening session when the first quizz is due. Failure to submit successfully in time will lead to removal from the course.
The online sessions will have a fixed day and time every week, about 2 hours. Some can be cancelled and they will be announced in Canvas. Canvas has priority over Pakki in case of conflicts.
The course will be offered in English because most of the students are international.
The course requires constant steady participation and progress to avoid overload at the end. Pass criteria is intentionally low but to get the most of the course content, interest in the topics and self-motivation to learn beyond the requirements is critical.
The main modules of the course are:
1. Orientation
2. Introduction to Business Analysis and Business IT
3. What is Business (strategy, value creation, organization, applications, data etc)?
4. Entrerprise Architecture
5. ITIL and DevOps concepts
6. Business Process Management
7. Supply Chain Management basics

Opinnon materiaali löytyy Canvas-oppimisalustalta, johon saat pääsyn viimeistään opinnon alkaessa. (not translated)
Opintojaksoon sisältyy viikoittaiset zoom-tapaamiset.
Lisäksi runsaasti itsenäistä työskentelyä Canvas-oppimisalustalla.
Opinnon läsnäolovelvoite on 75 %. (not translated)
Ruotsin kielessä tavoitetasona on vähintään B1-tasoinen ammatillinen kielitaito.
Varsinaiseen tenttiin osallistumatta jättäminen lasketaan yhdeksi suorituskerraksi. (Laurean tutkintosääntö.)
Kaikkien Laurean toimijoiden odotetaan noudattavan hyviä tieteellisiä käytänteitä, joihin kuuluu asianmukainen lähteisiin viittaaminen. Perehdy ja kysy käytänteistä tarvittaessa. Kaikki opintotehtävät tehdään yksilötyönä, jollei tehtävässä ole muuta ohjeistettu. Ouriginalin käytöstä tehtävien tarkistuksen yhteydessä opettaja kertoo erikseen.
Opinnon arvioinnissa käytetään amk-tutkinto-opiskelijan osaamisen arviointikehikon vaatimustason I mukaisia kriteereitä:

Laurean tutkintosäännön mukaisesti ”Kaikilla opiskelijoilla on oikeus osaamisensa näyttämiseen. ”
(not translated)
Hänen tilalleen voidaan ottaa jonossa oleva seuraava opiskelija”. (not translated)
