The student is able to
- apply the requirements set by legislation, directives and guidelines concerning physical security
- apply risk management methods to identify, evaluate and manage crime risks and vulnerabilities in facilities and operations
- key operating principles of physical security solutions
- create and develop physical security operational models, plans and guidelines as a part of facility management

If the student selects Emergency Preparedness-study unit as well, the client project can be completed in the same place; optional project days 22.3 and 27.3 overlapping doesn't therefore prevent participating in both study units.

Qualifications

Before enrolling to this study unit, you should have adequate competence level of safety, security and risk management, which you can acquire for example by completing study unit: Business Continuity Planning 5 credits or Basics of Corporate Security and Risk Management 10 credits.
