Learning outcomes
The student is able to
- identify values and ethical principles in the social care sector
- recognize the basic characteristics connected to lifespan development
- outline client relationships in the social care sector and different life situations
Teaching methods
In this course, the student will focus on values and ethical principles in the social care sector, learn the basic characteristics connected to a human being's growth and development and understand customer relationships in the social care sector and different life situations.
The key components of the course are:
1.Developmental Psychology 2 ECTS
2.Ethics in Social Services 1 ECTS
3.Social Work Clients/Customers and Social Work Environments 2ECTS
Course assignments: An individual work on ethics and life course interview
The course is conducted in co-operation with exchange student courses. Daytime studies at Tikkurila campus.

In this study unit the assessing of the competences will be done by using the criteria set for requirement level I.
