The student is able to
- describe key concepts and practices of sexual health
- analyze gender differences in well-being and health from a sexual health perspective
- apply their knowledge in the identification and treatment of sexual violence and abortion

Further information

The content of the study unit corresponds to the core competence study in Sexual and Reproductive Health (3 credits) of the nursing and public health nursing education, specifically the Sexual Health (1 credit) section. Thus Laurea's nursing and public health nursing students are not accepted for this study unit. The study unit is offered to degree students from other fields of study at Laurea for complementary compentece studies, as well as to cross-institutional students, for open university students, and pathway students.
